When we got our start as a new business in what was a non-existent market of “energy sharing”, it was tough to gauge whether our big idea actually had legs. While WE loved the idea of virtual power plants and our community getting paid to save energy during times of peak demand, we didn’t know quite how it would be received by the world.
A few years later and a number of awards and accolades from the startup, energy and business communities later and we think we’re onto something pretty great.

Smart 50 Awards, in partnership with Smart Cities Connect, Smart Cities Connect Foundation, and US Ignite, annually recognize global smart cities projects, honoring the most innovative and influential work. We were honored to be a recipient of their Energy award in 2018.
Free Electrons Pitch Award
Free Electrons Pitch Day 2017 was the inaugural public showcase of 12 energy startups selected for the the world’s first global energy accelerator. Free Electrons facilitates later-stage energy startups to scale into international markets and tap into existing utility customer bases.
500 Startups is a venture capital firm on a mission to discover and back the world’s most talented entrepreneurs, help them create successful companies at scale, and build thriving global ecosystems. They are one of the most active seed stage venture capital firms in the world, and they decided to back us!
Cleantech Forum Ones to Watch
The Ones to Watch list seeks to highlight a group of upcoming companies that are catching the eye of leading players in the market. They are companies who did not quite have enough market support to make the Global Cleantech 100 list itself, who have never been on a previous Global Cleantech 100 list, but who clearly carry pockets of strong support among key corporations, investors, and Cleantech Group analysts within the Cleantech Group’s Expert Panel.
VERGE Accelerate is a fast-pitch showcase that provides entrepreneurs the opportunity to get in front of the diverse VERGE audience: executives from the world’s largest companies, public officials from progressive cities, venture capitalists and others. We got the shoutout in 2014.
