## How to manage your OhmConnect notifications!

There is no shortage of exciting things happening at OhmConnect, and we aim to give our members full control to choose what they'd like to hear from us about. Whether you're keen to be in the know, or only want to receive necessary notifications, this guide will help you customize your notification experience.   
  

A few notes:   
  

*   Your smart devices will still participate in OhmHours and AutoOhms even if your notifications are turned off. More on opting out of events [here.](https://www.ohmconnect.com/help/help/opting-out-of-ohmhours-B1JIUwon_)  
      
    
*   During times of extreme stress on the grid, we will continue to send transactional emails encouraging you to save energy. 

### OhmHour Event Notifications

When you have an upcoming OhmHour event, you will receive an email or SMS notification one day prior to the event, and again shortly before the event begins. In addition, you will receive a notification that the event has ended, and a follow up notification with your event results.   
  

To manage your OhmHour event notifications, navigate to your OhmConnect [settings page](https://app.ohmconnect.com/settings) and click 'Energy Events'.

In order to prepare for and take part in OhmHour events, we recommend that both the day ahead and event start notifications are selected (see image below). This way there will be no surprises when the event begins!

### AutoOhm Notifications

AutoOhm events operate differently than OhmHours, and so do their notifications. Given that AutoOhms occur when there is an immediate demand on the grid, we do not have the same amount of time to prepare as we do with OhmHours. With AutoOhms, you have the option of receiving an event start notification, and event end notification via SMS. Event result notifications can be delivered either by email, or SMS.

### Communications Notifications 

On your OhmConnect dashboard settings page, under ['Communications',](https://app.ohmconnect.com/settings/communications) you are able to manage all other notifications you receive. Here you will find communications relating to device connection issues, promotional offers, referral details, and more, and can easily customize which notifications you would like to receive.   
  

You can unsubscribe from all emails by scrolling to the bottom of the page, and clicking 'Unsubscribe'. Additionally, if you receive an email notification, such as the Weekly Energy Snapshot, and decide you'd rather not receive that particular notification, you can unsubscribe from that specific email thread by clicking 'Unsubscribe' at the bottom of the email you receive.
