## Is your TP-Link Smart Plug not behaving the way you would expect? Follow these steps to trouble shoot the issue!

If you're currently experiencing connectivity issues with your TP-Link Smart Plug on either the OhmConnect Dashboard or the Kasa Smart App, below are a list of recommendations to get your TP-Link back up and running.

In most cases, we have found that removing the TP-Link smart plug from the Kasa Smart app will resolve the issue.

### Here are the steps:

1\. Open up the Kasa Smart App on you phone or tablet.

2\. Tap Devices in the bottom left corner.

3\. Locate the smart plug that is experiencing the issue and click the power icon to the right of it.

4\. Tap the gear icon in the top right of the screen to access settings for this device.

5\. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap 'Remove Device'.

5\. Confirm that you want to remove the TP-Link by tapping 'Remove Device' again. This will remove your device from the Kasa Smart App and the OhmConnect dashboard.

**To note:** Your TP-Link will be reset to Factory Default Settings and you will need to re-add the TP-Link to Wi-Fi, and you Kasa Smart App.

### Connectivity Issues During OhmHours and AutoOhms

If you are experiencing issues with your TP-Link during OhmHours and AutoOhms, such as the TP-Link is not powering down and back on correctly, below are a few things to consider.

1. Are you connected to Wi-Fi? TP-Link devices need a strong, solid Wi-Fi signal to operate correctly. You'll want to ensure that your TP-Link has a clear line to your router, and is not located far away from the router.

2. Do you have a conflicting Kasa schedule? It’s possible that you have your smart plugs pre-programmed to a schedule in your Kasa app that is conflicting with your OhmHours. Take a look through the app to find out what has been pre-programmed in Kasa to determine if this may be the cause of the issue.
