## My smart device is now connected to OhmConnect. How do I earn Watts? 

### **Earning With Thermostats**

To earn Watts with your smart thermostat, you'll want to ensure the following:  
  

*   Your thermostat is in the ON state (HEAT or COOL) at least 30 minutes prior to your event starting  
      
    
*   You do not manually adjust your thermostat within 30 minutes of your event and throughout the duration of the event  
      
    
*   You do not have any built in schedules between 4:30pm and 9:15pm  
      
    

### **Earning With Smart Plugs**

To earn Watts with your smart plug, you'll want to ensure the following:   
  

*   Your smart plug is in the ON state at least 20 minutes prior to your event starting.  
      
    
*   You do not manually adjust your smart plug within 20 minutes of your event and throughout the duration of the event.  
      
    
*   You do not have any built in schedules between 4:30pm and 9:15pm.
