## If there has been a disruption to your SCE utility connection, here's how to reauthorize your utility with Renew Home, the parent company of [OhmConnect](https://www.ohmconnect.com/?campaign=blog&sub_campaign=help-article&channel=how-to-reauthorize-your-utility-sce-bjaznv0su).

There are a number of reasons that could lead to your utility no longer being connected, including changes made to your physical smart meter, the authorization was revoked on the utility side, or you moved. Follow these simple steps to reauthorize your SCE utility connection:  
  

1.  Log in to your SCE account [here](http://sce.com).  
      
    
2.  Click 'Data Sharing' in the toolbar at the top of the page.  
      
    
3.  Click 'Third Party Authorizations'.  
      
    
4.  Locate the Renew Home authorization and click 'Revoke Authorization'. If you have more than one authorization please revoke them all.  
      
    
5.  Log in to your OhmConnect account [here](https://app.ohmconnect.com/login).  
      
    
6.  Navigate to your settings page and click 'Utility Account & Event Eligibility'.  
      
    
7.  Click "Connect my Utility'.  
     
8.  Complete the authorization via the redirect to your SCE account. 

To note: After revoking authorization on the SCE site, the authorization process must be initiated from your OhmConnect account. If you attempt to begin the process from the SCE site, you will not be able to select OhmConnect from their dropdown menu. 

### Whats Next

You've done everything you need to reauthorize your utility! SCE will now verify the authorization and send us the updated data. Keep in mind this process can take up to 5-7 days. Please ensure that you do not attempt to reauthorize more than once, as it will further delay the process of reauthorizing your account.
