## Follow this guide to install your new Ecobee Thermostat!

Before you get started installing your new Ecobee Thermostat, please ensure that it is compatible with your home's heating and cooling system. Check out Ecobee’s free online [Compatibility Checker](https://www.ecobee.com/en-ca/compatibility/thermostat/) to confirm.

  

  

1\. Download the latest version of the Ecobee app to begin your installation. Download via the [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ecobee/id916985674) or [Google Play.](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ecobee.athenamobile&hl=en_US&gl=US&pli=1)  
  

2\. Open the Ecobee app and log in with your Ecobee account credentials.  
  

3\. Click 'Add Device' on the home screen.  
  

4\. Select 'Thermostat', then tap on 'No, open installation guide'.   
  

5\. Select the Ecobee model you are installing.   
  

6\. Follow the steps provided in the Ecobee app. To note: When asked about your thermostat's wires, answer them as accurately as possible. You will be provided with a wiring diagram for the system once you have installed the thermostat base.
