## This guide will walk you through how to connect the Nest Thermostat to your Wi-Fi Network!

The Nest thermostat is one of our most popular smart devices in the [OhmConnect store](https://shop.ohmconnect.com/). Before linking your Nest Thermostat to your OhmConnect account, you will first need to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Below you will find details on how to connect your Nest to an existing Wi-Fi network, how to connect it to a hidden Wi-Fi network, and how to reset your Nest network settings and reconnect to a new or recently changed Wi-Fi network.   
  

**To note:** All steps are to be performed directly on your Nest Thermostat.

  

### Connect Nest Thermostat to an Existing Wi-Fi Network  
  

1\. Tap the right side of the Nest Thermostat to bring up the Quick View menu.  
  

2\. Select the Settings icon.  
  

3\. Choose 'Network'. It will take a moment while your thermostat scans for available networks. 

  

4\. Choose your home Wi-Fi network from the list and enter your password if prompted. 

  

### Connect Nest Thermostat to an Existing Hidden Wi-Fi Network  
  

If your Wi-Fi is hidden or not appearing on the list of available networks, follow the steps below.   
  

1. Tap the right side of the Nest Thermostat to bring up the Quick View menu.  
  

2\. Select the Settings icon.   
  

3\. Choose 'Network'.  
  

4\. Select 'Type Network Name'. If you do not see this option, turn the ring past the list of available network names.   
  

5\. Turn the ring to highlight a letter, number, or symbol and press to select to enter your Wi-Fi network's name. Tap 'Shift' to switch between lowercase and uppercase letters. Tap '123' to switch to numbers, symbols, and accents. Tap 'ABC' to switch back to letters. If you accidentally select a character, use Backspace ⌫ to delete the last character entered. If you want to go back and choose a different network, select 'Back'.

  

6\. Select the check mark once you have enter your network name.

  

7\. Enter your Wi-Fi network password.

  

### Reset the Wi-Fi Information on Your Nest Thermostat  
  

If you've changed your Wi-Fi network or Wi-Fi password, please follow the steps below.   
  

1\. Tap the right side of the Nest Thermostat to bring up the Quick View menu.

  

2\. Select the Settings icon. 

  

3\. Select 'Reset'.

  

4\. Choose 'Network'.

  

5\. Select 'Reset' to confirm.
