## Follow these steps to connect your Nest Learning Thermostat to Wi-Fi and the Nest App

  

1.  Connect your Nest Learning Thermostat to Wi-Fi.  
      
    
2.  Download the Nest app to sign up or sign in.  
     
3.  Add your Nest Learning Thermostat to the Nest app. 

  

### Connect to Wi-Fi

  

1.  Press your Nest Learning Thermostat’s ring to open the Quick View menu.  
      
    
2.  Select the Settings icon.  
      
    
3.  Choose 'Network.' Your thermostat will take a moment to scan for available networks. Select your home Wi-Fi network from the list.  
      
    
4.  Enter your password if prompted.

### Download the Nest App

1.  Download the Nest app from the [Apple App Store](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/nest-mobile/id464988855) or from [Google Play,](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nest.android&hl=en) or use your computer’s web browser to go to [home.nest.com](https://home.nest.com/).  
      
    
2.  Click 'Sign in with Google' (using your Gmail account). If you haven't migrated your Nest account to a Google account, you will need to do complete this before linking your thermostat to OhmConnect. ### Add your Nest Learning Thermostat to the Nest app

To connect your Nest Learning Thermostat to your Nest App, you will need to input the 'entry key' from your thermostat in the Nest App with the following steps.   
  

1.  Press your Nest Thermostat ring to open the Quick View menu.  
      
    
2.  Choose 'Settings'.  
      
    
3.  Turn the ring to Nest App and press the ring to select.   
      
    
4.  Select 'Get Entry Key' to retrieve a unique entry key. **To** **note:** If you have trouble getting an entry key, you may have an issue with your home Wi-Fi network. Click [here](https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9633749?hl=en) for possible solutions.Open the Nest App and sign in to your account if prompted.  
      
    
5.  Navigate to the Nest app home screen, and tap 'Settings'.  
      
    
6.  Tap 'Add product'.  
      
    
7.  Scan the QR code on the back of your Nest Learning Thermostat.   
      
    
8.  Follow the instructions in app, and when prompted, type in the entry key that will be visible on your thermostat’s screen.

  

Once you’ve entered the entry key, your Nest Learning Thermostat will be added to the Nest app! You'll see your Nest Learning Thermostat appear on the Nest app home screen. Tap the thermostat icon to control and change settings.
