## When you save energy with OhmConnect during OhmHours or AutoOhms, you earn rewards, or as we call them, Watts. Learn about the different ways you can use your hard earned Watts!

1. ### Bi-Weekly Prizes

Every other Sunday, we draw the name of a lucky winner to take home a MAJOR prize (trip to Disneyland or Peloton bike, anyone?) Each entry into the contest costs 200 Watts. Meet some of our previous winners, [here!](https://www.ohmconnect.com/blog/blog-category/user-stories)
2. ### Gift Cards

Starbucks, Airbnb, Walmart, Hulu, REI, the list goes on. Put your Watts towards one of the many [gift card options](https://app.ohmconnect.com/wallet) we have to select from, and we'll send the card directly to the email you have on file.
3. ### PayPal

Your Watts are worth real money, which you can cash out via PayPal! You can redeem your total Watts balance or in increments of $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100 values.

### How to redeem your Watts for cash via PayPal

To redeem your Watts via PayPal, you will need to add and verify your PayPal email address. Go [here](https://www.ohmconnect.com/help/how-to-change-your-ohmconnect-account-password-BJ0Y6nD4_) to see step-by-step instructions on how to do that.

Once your PayPal account has been added and verified, you can redeem your Watts for cash by going [here](https://app.ohmconnect.com/rewards/425) or clicking the ‘Exchange Watts’ button in the Rewards Marketplace.

You can redeem your Watts for a pre-set increment or click ‘All’ if you want to redeem your entire Watts balance.

**Note:** Your Watts balance and OhmConnect Wallet balance are separate, so you cannot cash out both balances in one transaction. If you’d like to redeem both, then you will need to complete two redemptions.

### Tax Forms

If you live in the United States and have been paid $600 or more by OhmConnect within a calendar year, we are required to collect an IRS W9 form and send you a 1099-MISC in January of the following year. Once you are close to the $600 threshold, you will be prompted to submit an IRS W9 form through your OhmConnect account. Our team will validate your W9, and once that’s complete, you can continue redeeming your rewards.

### FAQ

* **How do I add my PayPal email to my OhmConnect account?** You will need to add the email to your Account Settings page. [See this](https://www.ohmconnect.com/help/how-to-change-your-ohmconnect-account-password-BJ0Y6nD4_) help article for easy, step-by-step instructions.
* **Do you allow Venmo, Cash App, or direct deposit?** No, PayPal is the only platform we use to payout Watts-to-cash redemptions.
* **Can I apply my Watts directly to my utility bill?** If you live in Texas and are an OhmConnect Energy (OCE) customer, you can redeem your Watts for a bill credit. If you are not an OCE customer, you cannot redeem your Watts for bill credit; however, you can redeem your Watts via PayPal and apply those funds towards your bill!
* **I cashed out, why don’t I see my funds in my PayPal?** Please know that for withdrawals over $100, our team will need to do a manual approval, so hang tight, as this can take up to 5 days.
* **How much are my Watts worth?** You can check to see how much your Watts are worth at your current status level by going to the [Rewards Marketplace](https://app.ohmconnect.com/rewards). Click the 'Exchange Watts' button with the PayPal logo next to it, and you will be taken to a new page that shows how much cash you can redeem with your Watts.
