## Learn more about PG&E Demand Response Programs and how to disenroll.

Similar to Renew Home, the parent company of OhmConnect, utility providers and third party companies offer incentivized energy-saving programs. As these programs pay members for the energy they save, California law currently dictates that you can only be enrolled in one program at a time. If you've chosen Renew Home, the parent company of OhmConnect (great choice by the way), follow these steps to disenroll from the conflicting PG&E program!

### Disenrolling

The disenrollment process varies from program to program. If you are disenrolling from a program by phone, we highly recommend that you request written confirmation of your removal from the program. The process of disenrollment involves approval from the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) as well as the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC), so hang tight as it can take up to three weeks to confirm you are no longer enrolled.

### SmartAC

[SmartAC](https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/save-energy-money/savings-solutions-and-rebates/smart-ac/smart-ac.page) is offered for residential PG&E customers. There are two programs that run through SmartAC: [SmartAC Switches](https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/save-energy-money/savings-solutions-and-rebates/smart-ac/smartac-switch.page) and [SmartAC Thermostat](https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/save-energy-money/savings-solutions-and-rebates/smart-ac/smartac-thermostat.page). If you are uncertain which program you are enrolled in, or would like to disenroll, please call 1-866-908-4916.

### SmartRate

[SmartRate](https://www.pge.com/en_US/residential/rate-plans/rate-plan-options/smart-rate-add-on/smart-rate-add-on.page) is offered for residential PG&E customers. Customers pay a reduced electric rate within a bill period in exchange for shifting or reducing your electricity. To disenroll, please call 1-866-743-0263.

### Automated Response Technology

ART is offered Uplight by emailing [support@SmartACpge.com](mailto:support@SmartACpge.com) or calling 844-923-0176 to disenroll. Disenrollment will be complete approximately 5-7 days after the  request is received.

### Peak Day Pricing

If you are enrolled in Peak Day Pricing, you can disenroll at any time by reaching out to acustomer service representative at 1-800-987-4923 or by accessing your account on PGE.com. Disenrollment should be confirmed one day following your request!

### Third Party Programs

There are numerous Demand Response programs offered by third party providers, and are commonly run as thermostat incentive programs. In most cases, the program you are enrolled in will not be visible on your PG&E account, and you will need to reach out to the company who provided your thermostat directly to disenroll.
